How exactly are you going to plant street trees on what appears to be a bridge? Trees need dirt and lots of it for the roots to be established.

No, we’re not likely to get any 30-footers to sprout from the cement there. But it’s a shame to have such tall, fluffy trees next to a derelict building when on the other side of the very same building is this loooong stretch of pavement where people just fry in the summer.
For right there, I was thinking something like these tree-in-a-box you see in other places downtown.
