The first word that comes to mind to describe this anti-TSPLOST campain is POETIC
We need your help in showing the politicians who gave us the TIA TSPLOST that we don’t want it. It is a 14% tax increase on everything we buy for the next TEN YEARS or more. We think they should be better Stewart’s of the taxes they receive now.
We are planning a demonstration that everyone and anyone can participate in. We call it ” Lights for Liberty Drive”
We will all converge on to 285 outer loop at 10am on Saturday morning July 21st and go counter clockwise for 2 loops or about 2 hours. We should drive the speed limit in the center lane with our flashers on. Please don’t impede traffic. We only want positive coverage. We are hoping to have hundreds of cars on the loop at the same time, coming in from all directions at the same time. Set up a caravan if we can from your area. Display signage or decorate your car in protest to the NEW TAX and send a message that we do not support it!
There are car magnets available for sale to put on your car (visit traffictruth.net) or get creative on your own whatever you want to do it is fine. We ask that you keep this protest to the TSPLOST only. We will have an opportunity to show our feelings on other subjects later this year.
Double the cars and put your friend, wife, son, or daughter in the spare car and bring them along. The more cars we have the better our visibility and the media will come!

THE MORE CARS THE BETTER! Whether you’re pro-or-anti-TSPLOST, you have to admit that this idea was misguided to say the least.
We’d try to send them a link to our July article on just what transportation woes TSPLOST could eliminate, but we think it might fall on deaf ears
Intentionally generating more traffic might not be the best way to go about this…
